Dedicated to the memory of John David Lane
In loving memory of our beloved Dad and Grandad, John Lane, who we sadly said goodbye to on Sunday 18th February 2024.
Just shy of his 88th birthday - John led a wonderful, fulfilled life along with numerous academic achievements which he utilised within a fruitful career as a Principle University Lecturer in Accountancy & Finance, teaching across the South East of England and Hong Kong, China.
Career aside, John was a dedicated family man, married to Cynthia for the last 63 years, they built a strong foundation for their daughter Sarah and son Stephen, both of which went onto have children of their own - Libby, Tom, Oliver and Jonathan. All of whom supported John within his final years as Alzheimer's Disease cruelly stole him away, piece by piece.
John will be best remembered for his witty one-liners, extreme gardening and continuous demands for a cup of coffee and a crafty fag.
John/Dad/Grandad has been an integral part of our lives and will be greatly missed.
John's family welcome tributes on and offline, and they hope that you will be able to join them in a celebration of John's life on Wednesday 3rd April 2024 at 12pm at the Woking Crematorium.
